We are seeking an Accounts Payable Assistant (Entry-Level) to join our Accounting & Finance team in the Real Estate and Property industry. The successful candidate will bring their positive attitude, and excellent team working skills to our team in Hatfield.

Description

Key Responsibilities Accounts Payable Assistant (Entry-Level)

  • Process and manage a high volume of invoices accurately and efficiently
  • Prepare weekly payment runs for authorisation
  • Reconcile supplier statements and handle supplier queries
  • Assist with month-end closing procedures for accounts payable
  • Support the reconciliation of accounts payable in the general ledger
  • Process employee expense claims
  • Maintain accurate supplier records and files
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the accounts payable function
  • Assist with audit preparations related to accounts payable
  • Support other financial tasks and special projects as assigned

Profile

The successful Accounts Payable Assistant (Entry-Level) will have:

  • Excellent numeracy and analytic skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel and Outlook (to intermediate level)
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, and demonstrates pride in their work with an ability to achieve targets while maintaining accuracy
  • Able to manage deadlines and prioritise tasks
  • A team player with a flexible 'can-do' approach and attitude
  • Uses own initiative and is curious when dealing with daily tasks, looking for solutions and opportunities to make improvements to internal processes
  • Operates with respect and professionalism when dealing with all internal and external customers. Effective verbal and written communication.
  • Comfortable in and embraces change
  • A willingness to learn and develop
