Tate is recruiting for a new Corporate Account and Business Development Manager to compliment a team of Business Development Managers and to offer continuous business support to existing customers to ensure they are benefiting from a comprehensive service and receiving regular touch points and engagement which will aid customer satisfaction and longer-term retention.

This is a sociable position and although office based out of Hatfield each day, will require you to be out and about around Hertfordshire attending events and meeting up with customers and networking associates.

You will need to be a car driver and flexible with your time - occasionally events might be early starts!

We envisage this permanent position is suited to someone accomplished with B2B customer engagement, either previously in sales, service or account management, who is comfortable working to KPI and overcoming objections.

You should exude a professional and confident persona to hold conversations with customers at all levels and varying industries and an interest in business and commerce would be an advantage.

A little about what you can expect to be doing:

You'll be talking to customers every day, exploring how they can get more from your service, offering advice, booking service review appointments, obtaining feedback and ideas and answering any questions. (as a ball park figure, you'll be having 25+ customer conversations a day)

  • Having conversations with customers who are due annual renewals, and exploring if they can get better value by upgrading.
  • Generating additional revenue through upselling to existing customers.
  • Using the CRM system to obtain and update customer information. Setting up new customer accounts.
  • Attend team meetings to participate in business plans, customer engagement ideas, share feedback and be included in future planning.
  • Working on delegated projects, sometimes solely or as part of a team.
  • Supporting the Events team, prepare table plans, name badges, event set up and close down.

This job will provide:

  • Full time, permanent work 9-5pm Monday to Thursday and 4.30pm finish Fridays.
  • 1 hour lunch break, with kitchen facilities, indoor and outdoor rest areas and local amenities on hand. Modern, bright office environment.
