Quantity Surveyor - X2 (One based in AL10, one based in CO1)

Salary: £50k 60k plus package

Based: Hybrid.

Calling all talented Quantity Surveyors ready to make the next step in their career at a well renowned civil engineering company, we have the role for you!

Since their formation almost 60 years ago, my client have forged an excellent reputation as one of the leading civil engineering companies in the UK and have an impressive pipeline of work currently, particularly in the highways and rail sectors. They have an exciting opportunity for a talented Quantity Surveyor to come in manage the financial and contractual performance of projects. They have 2 openings - one based in Colchester, Essex and the other in Hatfield, Herts. In terms of the day-to-day responsibilities, they would include, but not be limited to the following:

  • Manage project finances and contracts, ensuring profit targets and efficiency.
  • Oversee adherence to timelines and administer change control.
  • Identify and mitigate risks while maximizing opportunities.
  • Conduct compliant procurement and address commercial and legal queries.
  • Manage and audit the supply chain, track project progress, and maintain financial records.
  • Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures.

Experience / knowledge required:

  • Proven Quantity Surveying experience, ideally in civil engineering (Highways preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of NEC contracts and cost management software.
  • Skilled in cost performance monitoring and contract administration.
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or equivalent.
  • Professional membership (RICS, CICES) and CSCS card are desirable.
