An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced accountant with a background in medical accounts. A well-established accountancy firm, a well-established accountancy firm in Havant, is looking for a Medical Accounts Senior to join their specialist team. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a growing firm that provides expert financial services to medical professionals. What will the Medical Accounts Senior role involve?
  • Working on a general commercial client base in addition to medical sector clients.
  • Preparing and reviewing accounts for GP practices, medical consultants, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Managing VAT, corporation tax, and self-assessment tax returns.
  • Handling NHS pension scheme calculations and submissions.
  • Assisting clients with financial planning and tax efficiency strategies.
  • Managing client queries and liaising with HMRC and other professional bodies.
  • Utilising accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and IRIS.
Suitable Candidate for the Medical Accounts Senior Vacancy
  • Proven experience as an accountant within an accountancy practice, ideally with exposure to the medical sector.
  • Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and tax compliance
  • Excellent analytical and organisational skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and professional bodies.
  • Proficiency in IRIS or similar software is advantageous.
  • Preferably ACCA or ACA qualified/part-qualified with a drive to progress further.
