Our client, a prominent player in the manufacturing and engineering sector, is currently seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer / Metrologist to join their team in Havant. This permanent role involves ensuring that supplied products conform to design intent drawing requirements and testing procedures.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting measurement confirmation and data statistical analysis on supplier products.
  • Performing first off validation to mechanical/electrical drawings and test specifications.
  • Providing accurate IDR reports and preparing Supplier Investigation Reports (SIR's) for non-conforming parts.
  • Managing SIR's, ensuring they are closed within specified timescales.
  • Providing purchasing/supply chain teams with relevant information on non-conforming products.
  • Determining criteria for parts inspection and driving inspection requirements back to suppliers.
  • Managing programming of the OGP CMM machine and other measurement equipment.
  • Ensuring all measurement equipment is calibrated and appropriately labelled.


Job Requirements:

  • Experience operating CMM's, including programming.
  • Experience in a Quality Engineering role.
  • Working knowledge of SPC (Process Capability/Statistics).
  • Ability to understand and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Knowledge of Quality Management Systems and sampling plans (e.g., BS 60001).
