CNC Operator Job Description


Job Overview
We are seeking a CNC Operator to join our client based in Havant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating CNC machinery to produce precision parts and components.

Duties

  • Operate CNC milling machines and lathes to fabricate parts according to specifications.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
  • Set up tooling and fixtures for machining processes, ensuring precision in production.
  • Conduct regular inspections of finished products to verify adherence to quality standards.
  • Use hand tools and welding equipment as necessary for assembly and fabrication tasks.
  • Maintain an organised and clean workspace in compliance with safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with team members in the warehouse to ensure efficient workflow and timely production schedules.

Experience

  • Basic experience as a CNC Operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Familiarity with logic controllers and their applications in CNC machinery is advantageous.
  • Proficient in using hand tools, welding equipment, and other fabrication tools.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating effective communication skills.
  • A background in machining or engineering is beneficial but not essential.

Hours

37.5 hrs per week. Monday - Friday 8.00am - 4.15pm
