Labourer

Workshop Recruitment are looking to recruit a Labourer to start work for a well-established company in Havant, must have some labouring experience.  Working on the rubbish trucks collecting the materials and waste from jobs, clearing the site/ house and bringing it back to the skips.  Must have a full UK License, automatic cannot be accepted.  After a while will move to more trade general labouring and this will include the removal of asbestos so ALL labourers must be ok wearing full PPE (including masks and head to toe overalls) and advised at times they will be undertaking this work, you will also be assisting other trades working in Domestic properties, have good customer service as dealing with tenants.  The ideal candidate must hold a full UK driving licence of at least 18 months or more and be able to drive a larger panel van.

Candidates must also have basic building skills to be able to carry out basic trade work such as the following:

• Latex floors following the removal of floor tiles
• Be able to cut timber battens and form basic frames to cover in polythene
• To be able to paint or spray PVA onto various surfaces
• Remove panels fixed with screws and nails

Essential Requirements

• Full UK Clean Driving License
• Good customer service
• Labouring experience
• Hard working
• Reliable
• For this role you must be willing to work in a sealed room or location wearing the correct Personal protective equipment (PPE), candidates must also be willing to work at heights from scaffolds, towers, ladders etc up to four floors when removing the asbestos from roofs.
