Responsibilities:

  • Assist classroom teachers in delivering engaging and interactive lessons tailored to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Provide one-on-one support to students who require additional assistance with their learning, ensuring that individual educational goals are met.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies and interventions.
  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and supported.
  • Help to maintain a safe and orderly learning environment, promoting positive behaviour and conflict resolution among student

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience working with students with SEMH needs, either in a school or other educational setting, is highly desirable.
  • A strong understanding of social, emotional, and behavioral development in children and young people.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to remain calm and positive in challenging situations.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the evolving needs of students and the school community.
  • Previous experience working in a school or educational setting is essential.
