Prospero Teaching are working with an 'Outstanding' Ofsted rated school based in, Portsmouth, Hampshire seeking a dedicated Secondary Teaching Assistant for September 2024.

This specialist setting caters for boys aged 11-16 with Autism alongside other Complex Needs to include SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health) needs.

  • Location - Portsmouth, Hampshire
  • Position - Learning Support Assistant
  • Contract or position start date - ASAP/September 2024
  • Duration / Likely Duration - Ongoing
  • Contract type: Temp/Perm
  • Full time/part time - Full time
  • Minimum rate of pay - From GBP 85.10 - GBP 98.20
  • Hours - 8:30 - 16.00 (32.5 hours per week)

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Level 2 Teaching Assistant or equivalent (preferable)
  • · GCSES: English & Maths
  • · Minimum 1 year working with children
  • · Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (or willingness to complete)

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child related references that cover the last 2 years
