Location: Newmarket, Cambridgeshire
Salary: £29,(Apply online only)-£32,(Apply online only) (Overtime Available + Full training)  
Hours: Monday-Friday 07.00-17.00 + Overtime @ 1.5x

The Client:

Interaction Technical have partnered with a well-established plant hire firm covering the Midlands and the South East to support the growth of their team. Our client, who have been established for over 30 years, have reached a stage of growth where they are looking to onboard engineers from either a plant, HGV, Automotive or Agricultural background to the team.

 

The package:  

  • 22 days Annual Leave + Public Holidays  
  • All overtime over 8 hours per day is paid at 1.5x (£21 per hour)  
  • Salary Sacrifice Scheme for an addition 5 days annual leave per annum  
  • Full training & development with a focus small, heavy plant, generators including electrical, mechanical, testing and hydraulic.
  • Opportunity to develop into a workshop or mobile plant fitter in the near future  
  • All of the above promotions accompany substantial increases in salary and benefits.  

 

The Requirements:  

  • Previous experience working within the automotive industry or hold experience with mechanical fitting  
  • Experience working on engines would be advantageous  
  • Electrical and/or Mechanical fault finding, repair & service experience  
  • A desire to lead, manage and grow a team of your own  
  • Relevant qualifications NVQ or City and Guilds in any automotive engineering (advantageous)  
  • Open for full training and development within the plant industry  
  • Full UK Drivers License  

 

The Responsibilities:  

  • Diagnose complex technical issues and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.  
  • Carry out maintenance and repairs on an array of small tools (saws, drills, mini diggers, Generators etc)  
  • Complete further training surrounding the wider kit list.  
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance.  
  • Offer training and support to clients' staff on machinery operation and maintenance best practices.  
  • Keep detailed records of service activities, parts used, and work completed for accurate reporting.  
  • Communicate effectively with the in-house engineering team to provide feedback and improve product performance.
