Are you ready to embark on an exhilarating journey with a rapidly growing recycling firm? This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced, expanding recycling firm as an accounts assistant. You will benefit from guidance from the current accounts manager to build your skills and experience to take on this role.

The role is office based in Haverhill in Suffolk (CB9 7GB) since they have expanded in the last couple of years to occupy a site here as well as their original site in Essex. Widdington Recycling is Essex's leading waste management company.

About the role…

You will be assisting the accounts manager in a wide range of tasks which will benefit your learning whilst being a key member of the team and training to take over the accounts manager role in the future.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Raising sales invoices
  • Credit control procedures
  • Processing supplier invoices
  • Handling of logical queries
  • Reconciliations within accounting software
  • Generating financial reports for key stakeholders
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records
  • Supporting the finance team with various ad-hoc tasks and projects

Following a successful period of time, you will have the opportunity to become the Accounts Manager, where you will be able to continue to develop the finance function and ensure effective processes are in place.
