In this role you will be investigating complaints regarding environmental protection and statutory nuisance. You will have experience in at least one of the following areas noise/ acoustics, statutory nuisance, air quality or contaminated land. Your work will cover parts of these aspects and also include providing comments on licensing and planning applications.

As a regulatory role you will carry out appropriate enforcement, respond to complaints of nuisance, and/or air quality and/or contaminated land depending on your specific specialism. You will need to serve notices as necessary and be expected to attend court and other hearings to provide evidence and lead on prosecutions under the council's enforcement policy.

As part of the team you will undertake a multi-disciplined enforcement caseload and be able to manage your work effectively.

This may include undertaking monitoring visits at unsociable hours though not on an on call basis (subject to manger approval). You will be based as a hybrid of home working and from the Town Hall, in Romford with the expectation of site visits where required.
