Were looking for an Operations Manager for Wensleydales flagship production site at Hawes. This role will play a pivotal role in leading the production team, implementing process improvements and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality products in a rapidly changing dynamic environment.
The ideal candidate will use their initiative to solve problems whilst leading their team with a hands-on approach to work. The position reports into the Site Director for Wensleydale and has 3 direct reports within production. The role is based in Hawes on a full-time basis.
YOULL MAKE CONTRIBUTIONS THAT MATTER BY
- Implementing and supporting cultural change across the site.
- Driving optimal Health and food safety systems and standards across the department.
- Developing, delivering and supporting delivery of business improvement change initiatives.
- Leading, defining and developing continuous improvement activities including uitilising lean events to improve performance.
- Ensuring the function operates in accordance with any health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of staff and visitors.
- Providing coaching and training to team members to develop a high-performance team culture.
- Lead on ongoing learning and development of all employees in lean environment tools and communication methods.
YOURE BEST SUITED FOR THE ROLE IF YOU ARE
- Experienced in a similar role within a manufacturing company (Food preferred but not essential).
- Experienced in leading from the front with a hands-on approach.
- Experienced in nurturing and growing talent and setting a culture of learning and development.
- Conversant with a Balanced Score Card and KPIs to measure and drive team and individual performance.
