Yorebridge House, located in the heart of Wensleydale in the Yorkshire Dales, offers luxurious boutique bedrooms with fine dining in a relaxed atmosphere.
The Victorian grade 2 listed building was once a Headmaster's House and School, now transformed into a luxury hotel with stunning views and personalized service.
The hotel's head chef, Dan Shotton, brings culinary skills and creativity to the 3AA rosette menus, showcasing local produce in seasonal dishes.The Orangery restaurant seats up to 30 covers for dinner Monday-Saturday and up to 50 covers for lunch on Sunday 12-4pm. We offer a la carte and tasting menus. At lunchtimes the hotel offers light bites and afternoon tea.

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and ambitious restaurant manager to join our small team, the applicant must be able to demonstrate fantastic customer service, product knowledge and be capable of self motivating as well as motivating a small team.

Experience at 3 rosette level or above preferred but not essential.

WSET level 2 or equivalent wine knowledge is essential.

Main job roles:

  • Oversee the running of the restaurant and bar to ensure daily duties are carried out
  • Manage restaurant diary and bookings alongside GM and head chef
  • Carry out monthly stock takes and report discrepancies to the GM
  • Ensure the appearance and high standards of the hotel are maintained at all times
  • Manage linen, cleaning products and any other relevant stock
  • Manage bar and wine stock including cigars and banqueting stock
  • Manage staff rotas
  • Manage staff holiday and lieu time
  • Manage your departments annual budget
  • Ensure staff training is regularly reviewed and updated
  • Ensure allergen information is kept up to date with menu changes
  • Attend and contribute to weekly HOD meetings
  • Undertake any additional front of house based duties requested by the GM or Owners
  • Assist in recruitment for your department
  • Assist in social media activity
  • Respond to guest comments immediately to avoid complaints
