Role Overview:Â My client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join their finance team. This role involves assisting with the preparation of management accounts, financial reporting, compliance, and providing financial guidance to operational teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting & Analysis:
- Prepare and present monthly financial analysis to assist in the preparation of management accounts.
- Produce detailed financial reports to support decision-making.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
- Manage financial analysis for cost-saving projects.
- Handle day-to-day ad hoc financial requests.
- Inventory Management:
- Conduct inventory checks and audits.
- Process inventory checks through the ERP system and perform root cause analysis.
- Reporting and Compliance:
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports for senior managers.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations when preparing VAT returns.
- Implement and improve internal financial controls.
- Assist with the external audit process.
- Finance Partnering:
- Provide financial guidance to operational teams.
- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Collaborate with other departments on business projects.
- Prepare and present management reports with commentary and recommendations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a similar role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
- Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple tasks.
