Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and professional Class 2 Day Driver to join our team in Haydock. This role involves general haulage work, delivering palletised loads to various locations. The ideal candidate will be punctual, safety-conscious, and capable of maintaining excellent customer service while managing their deliveries efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate a Class 2 HGV vehicle.
• Deliver up to 12 palletised drops per day to designated destinations. collections on way back to depot.
• Carry out general haulage tasks, ensuring compliance with all transport regulations.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness and report any defects.
• Load and unload goods where required, ensuring all deliveries are secure and undamaged.
• Complete all necessary paperwork accurately, including delivery notes and vehicle logbooks.
• Communicate effectively with the transport team to report any delays or issues.

Requirements

• Valid UK Category C (Class 2) licence with no more than 6 penalty points (minor offences only).
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Previous experience in general haulage or multi-drop deliveries preferred.
• Good geographical knowledge of the Haydock area and surrounding regions.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
