Job description

OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Endoscopy team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care and demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of anatomy. As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures.

Duties

  • Provide direct patient care before, during, and after endoscopic procedures, ensuring comfort and safety.
  • Assist the physician during endoscopic examinations and interventions.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and respond promptly to any changes in their condition.
  • Educate patients and their families about the procedures, expected outcomes, and post-procedure care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting all assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Qualifications

  • Valid registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) as a Registered Nurse.
  • Proven experience in a clinical setting, preferably in an endoscopy or surgical unit.
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to endoscopic procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide compassionate patient care.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
