We are seeking a Course Team Leader for Early Years to join our dedicated team within the Hair, Beauty, Hospitality, Early Years and Performing Arts department. This role involves teaching across a range of full-time courses and managing the curriculum effectively, including ongoing development in line with current requirements.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Teach on a variety of Early Years programmes, including work-based apprenticeships and full-time courses.
  • Lead the organisation and development of the curriculum, ensuring it meets the needs of students and complies with current standards.
  • Manage team resources efficiently, aiming for high levels of enrolment, retention, achievement, and attendance.
  • Liaise with college staff and external bodies, including employers, to maintain and develop professional relationships.
  • Contribute to the marketing and recruitment strategies to attract potential students and provide accurate course information.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years.
  • Advanced level teaching qualification (e.g., DET, PGCE) or willingness to achieve this with the support of the College.
  • At least 2 years of successful teaching experience, including the CACHE syllabus.
  • Good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum.
  • Experience in curriculum coordination and development.
  • Excellent team leadership skills and the ability to supervise a team.
  • Proficiency in IT and e-learning within the curriculum.
