SENIOR SITE MANAGER - DATA CENTRE PROJECT Reading | Up to 95,000 + Package
Walker & Sloan are currently recruiting for an exciting "Senior Site Manager" position with one of the UK's leading main contractors. Having spoken directly with the Project Director yesterday, I can confirm this role offers one of the most competitive packages in the data centre sector.
The Project: This is a new c. 280M data centre development and the project includes 85,000 sq ft of technical space across three floors with associated infrastructure and M&E installations.
The Package: Base salary up to 95,000 with additional benefits including private medical cover for your family, enhanced pension contributions, and 26days holiday. They're also offering a generous weekly subsistence allowance if you need to stay locally.
Your Background: Ideally, you'll bring previous data centre or critical infrastructure experience, though I've recently placed candidates from pharmaceutical and semiconductor backgrounds. SMSTS and First Aid are essential, and experience with CSA/IST standards would be advantageous.
The Client: They're a majorcontractor with an impressive track record in the data centre sector. Their last three projects were delivered ahead of schedule, leading to this latest contract award. They're known for promoting from within - their current Operations Director started as a Site Manager just seven years ago.
Location: The site is easily accessible from the M4, with Reading station just 10 minutes away. Several team members currently commute from London, Bristol, and Southampton due to the excellent transport links.
