Aylin White are working again with a long term client to help them grow their electrical delivery team. Turning over in excess of 200m, they are one of the more stable and well regarded engineering led building services install company in the London market. Delivering a mix of London commercial new build and fit out alongside mission critical work, they have grown substantially after long term successful delivery.

They are delivering a 150m data centre in west London with 100m of electrical work. Split into phases and with a number of new buildings for further phases this could be eight years work. They are looking for an experienced electrical prjoject manager who has come from a new build shell and core background, that understands infrastructure delivery rather than fit out. This does not need data centre experience, but experience of UPS, generators, switchgear, big cables etc is beneficial. You will be taking control of a section of work so experience dealing with design changes, commercial decisions etc are a must. ONC or above is preferable but not a must.

THE ROLE

  • The M&E Project Director will lead the whole electrical scheme, including the PCSA (Pre-Construction Services Agreement).
  • In the first year, the M&E Project Director will be working in the office liaising with architects and designs and coordinating the pre-con phase. In the following 2 years, you will be delivering the project from the office but will go to the site regularly.

SKILLS AND BACKGROUND

  • The M&E Project Director will be proactive and experienced in leading the full lifecycle ofM&E projects of +20m(from pre-con to handover).
  • You will have experience working for an M&E contractor and with the sequencing of electrical schemes ofnew builds.
  • The M&E Project Director has good communication skills and likes to work collaboratively with other key stakeholders.
