About The Role
We are currently recruiting for aSenior Quantity Surveyorto join our Regional Aviation Projects commercial team based from ourHeathrowoffice.
The role will include working on a variety of civil engineering and Airport infrastructure contracts, heading up a team, tendering and pre-contract, internal reporting and client interfacing.
This is a key position for us and pivotal to both our regional business expansion plans and senior management team posts.
Duties will include:
  • Manage multiple main contracts with Heathrow Airport and their Delivery Partners
  • Manage subcontract works packages and be responsible for timely and effective subcontract administration
  • Lead risk reduction and commercial meetings with the Client and suppliers
  • Work with the Client to deliver the project in accordance with the agreed price, scope and programme.
  • Be responsible for accurate cash flow forecasting, project income and outturn costs, including monthly CVR reporting.
  • Ensure detailed and accurate cost and value forecasting and cost allocation
  • Input into the business forecast, tender strategy and operational requirements.
  • Pricing variations and managing the change control process in accordance with the contract
  • Improve value for money through reduction in waste, operational efficiencies and the introduction of innovations.
  • Assist the team in the recovery of contract costs, together with enhancing project profit by identifying efficiencies, variations, delays and claims.
  • Undertake monthly reporting to the Client, ensuring comprehensive variance analysis and positive cash collection.

About You
The successful applicant will have demonstrable experience in a similar role, be well organised with good presentation skills and have the ability to communicate professionally at all levels.
  • Degree Qualified in either Quantity Surveying or Construction Management (or equivalent)
  • Successfully held a senior role within a commercial team of previously
  • A real eye for the finer details
  • IT literate and proficient in MS Office
  • Able to lead by example
  • Previous experience with the NEC form of contract is desired
Due to the variety of forms of contract used and complexity of the projects we work on, we prefer applicants for this role to have a background in working on civil infrastructure and/or civil engineering contracts.
You will be commercially astute with a history of delivering projects within budget and possess the necessary interpersonal skills to work closely with client and site teams.
