Stores Person 

Location: West London
Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:00 (37.5 hours per week)

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Stores Person to join a well-established and growing manufacturing business. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work within a structured, quality-focused environment that supports major industrial sectors including aerospace.

The successful candidate will support the stores function and report into the Supply Chain management team, contributing to material control, stock accuracy, and efficient movement of goods within the business.

Key Responsibilities

Material Issue:

  • Daily issue of materials with relevant documentation to the production floor

  • Maintaining accurate records of all material movements

  • Ensuring full batch traceability and accurate system updates

  • Updating and managing stock control systems and buffer reports

Stock Control:

  • Performing regular stock checks

  • Supporting the annual physical stock take

  • Maintaining stock batch control records (both manual and digital)

Goods Inwards:

  • Receiving and assisting with unloading of deliveries

  • Checking goods against orders and ensuring accurate storage

  • Verifying quality and quantity of incoming goods

General Duties:

  • Keeping the stores and goods-in area clean, safe, and well organised

  • Supporting the wider supply chain and production teams as required

  • Performing additional tasks as directed by management

Candidate Requirements
  • Minimum of one year’s experience in a manufacturing or engineering stores role

  • Goods-in and material handling experience desirable

  • Strong communication and organisational skills

  • Computer literate (SAP or similar systems experience preferred)

  • Ability to work both independently and within a team

  • Reliable, proactive and able to work under tight deadlines

  • Forklift licence preferred but not essential

  • Physically fit – role involves manual handling of metal coils and sheet materials
