Interim Group Finance Manager (with potential permanent opportunity) - Hayle / Hybrid - £50-60,000 FTE

Trial Balance Consulting have been exclusively assigned by a long standing client operating in the hospitality sector and considered to be a market leader in their field. The business has tasked us with sourcing an experienced Group Finance Manager who can join them as soon as possible. This role can be operated on either a full time or part time basis (30 hours per week) to suit the successful candidate, and will initially be offered on an interim basis (minimum contract duration 8 weeks), but with potential for the successful application to apply for a permanent position should they wish. The role will be principally based from the company’s headquarters in Hayle, but with scope for hybrid working - details to be discussed with shortlisted candidates.

Working closely alongside a highly experienced CEO (and acting CFO), and managing a team of seven finance colleagues, this will be pivotal role where the successful candidate will assume the lead on day-to-day financial control for a group of business entities. Key responsibilities to include:

- Assume responsibility for all accounting protocols and maintaining robust internal controls

- Ensure compliance to all relevant reporting standards

- Identify and implement ongoing improvements to the function

- Act as a key point of contact to external stakeholders and major suppliers

- Production and delivery of detailed management accounts

- Ensure efficient supplier payment processes

- Management of the payroll function (not administration)

- Regular liaison with investors and internal stakeholders

Think you’ve got what it takes? We’re looking for a dynamic, energetic, and down-to-earth Finance Manager with a demonstrable history of success. A professionally qualified individual (ACA/ACCA/CIMA), or suitably qualified by vocational experience, you’ll need a solid background in supervising staff, preparation of financial and management reports, up to date knowledge of accounting standards and budgetary controls, and most certainly a natural leadership style.
