Reed HR are working with an established logistics company who are seeking a temporaryEmployee Relations Specialist to join their vibrant team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a range of employee relations issues, providing expert advice and support to ensure fair and consistent application of policies and procedures. This role requires a proactive individual who can effectively balance employee needs with business objectives.

The Employee Relations Specialist will...

  • Provide advice and guidance on a range of employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, absence management, and performance issues.
  • Support line managers in handling complex case work and ensuring legal compliance.
  • Develop and maintain productive relationships with key stakeholders to promote employee well-being and engagement.
  • Conduct investigations and prepare case documentation for disciplinary and grievance hearings.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Deliver training sessions to managers on employee relations topics and best practices.
  • Keep up to date on current employment legislation and ensure all HR practices are compliant.

The successful Employee Relations Specialist will have...

  • Proven experience in an Employee Relations or HR Advisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and best practices in employee relations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle sensitive situations diplomatically.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload with tight deadlines.
  • Experience in conducting investigations and managing complex ER cases.
  • CIPD qualification or equivalent is desirable.
