Job Role: Principal Mechanical Engineer
Location: Haywards Heath
Salary: £65,000-£80,000 + Benefits package
About the role:
Are you an experienced mechanical engineer with a passion for wastewater treatment and biosolids projects?
We are looking for a Principal Engineer to lead and support our clients' multi-disciplinary team in the delivery of innovative wastewater and biosolids facility upgrades and expansions. With over 10+ years of experience in the field, you'll be working on projects that span from initial planning and evaluation to construction support and commissioning assistance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead project management, design, and technical assessments.
- Perform design calculations, cost estimating, equipment sizing/selection, and prepare contract documents.
- Conduct fieldwork and site visits throughout project phases from planning to construction.
- Clearly communicate both verbally and in technical reports, contributing to successful project outcomes.
About you:
- 10+ years of experience in municipal wastewater and biosolids projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Chartered Engineer status.
- Strong writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in standard engineering software (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
