Reed is currently assisting an established client in the Haywards Heath area in the recruitment of a Finance Office Manager to join their existing team.  Reporting directly to the Senior Management Team the successful candidate will possess a solid IT background, HR experience, financial experience and excellent organisational and time-management abilities. This role is ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail and the capability to prioritise and delegate tasks effectively.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Ensure the smooth running of the office, maintaining a supportive and efficient working environment.
  • Monitor staff welfare and development, promote well-being, and provide support where necessary.
  • Provide IT support and liaise with third-party IT and case management system providers as needed.
  • Maintain staff records, ensuring all training and reviews are up-to-date and arrange courses when necessary.
  • Manage staff rotas and holidays and oversee the induction of new staff.
  • Provide holiday cover and additional support in finance.
  • Manage administrative staff, including chairing meetings and managing staff social events.
  • Update the company policies, handbook, and office manual as required.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and regulatory requirements
  • Assist with the preparation of annual submissions required by external bodies and providers.
  • Maintain adequate levels of supplies and equipment and manage the maintenance of the building.
  • Serve as an additional point of contact for clients, managing the complaints procedure and off-site archive storage facilities and systems.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in an office management role, preferably within a similar environment.
  • Strong IT skills.
  • Experience in HR functions and previous finance experience.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Experience in managing staff and promoting a positive work environment.
