SEN Teaching Assistant - Primary

Reed Education are representing a number of primary schools in Horsham and looking for dedicated and energetic Teaching Assistants to support the learning and development of children within KS1 + KS2. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with the class teacher to foster a positive and stimulating learning environment.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Assist the class teacher with planning and delivering engaging lessons.
  • Provide tailored one-to-one and small group support to enhance student learning.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour to maintain a constructive learning atmosphere.
  • Support children with special educational needs (SEN) as required.
  • Prepare and organise teaching materials and resources for daily activities.
  • Supervise children during breaks and coordinate various school activities.
  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for all students.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant or similar role within an educational setting.
  • Genuine passion for working with children and aiding their educational and personal development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students, staff, and parents.
  • Team player with the ability to work collaboratively with other staff members.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to meet the dynamic needs of the school and its students.
