Reed have partnered with a leading company committed to sustainability and reducing environmental impact who are seeking an analytically minded Sustainability Associate to join their team.In this permanent role, you’ll play a key part in advancing the company’s sustainability goals by analysing and reporting on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives both internally and externally.We need a data-driven individual who can collaborate across departments to evaluate the company’s ESG performance and effectively communicate these improvements to customers, showcasing the sustainability benefits they deliver.The successful candidate will also receive sponsorship for an MSc in Sustainability, supporting both professional and educational growth in this vital field.

Please note, this role requires a driver due to the rural location.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ESG Analysis
    • Collect, analyse, and interpret data related to ESG initiatives within the company.
    • Develop and maintain metrics to track sustainability progress and areas for improvement.
    • Conduct comparative analyses to ensure the company is meeting or exceeding industry standards in ESG performance.
  • Sustainability Reporting
    • Prepare and deliver comprehensive reports on sustainability outcomes for customer engagement.
    • Communicate the positive impacts of the sustainability initiatives in clear and compelling terms.
    • Collaborate with the Marketing and Communications teams to translate complex data into customer-facing materials that showcase the environmental benefits of company services.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Work closely with various departments to gather relevant data and insights to support ESG objectives.
    • Collaborate on projects that promote the environmental leadership and align with our commitment to innovation.
  • Customer and Stakeholder Engagement
    • Act as a liaison between the company and its customers to respond to inquiries related to sustainability metrics and improvements.
    • Represent the company's sustainability achievements and values to stakeholders in presentations, reports, and meetings.

Requirements:

  • Educational Background
    • Bachelor’s degree (BA or BSc) in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business, or a related field.
    • Commitment to pursuing an MSc in Sustainability, for which the company will provide sponsorship.
  • Skills and Experience
    • Proven analytical skills with experience in data collection and interpretation, particularly within an ESG or sustainability context.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively report and communicate sustainability metrics and improvements to both internal teams and customers.
    • An understanding of ESG standards, sustainability reporting frameworks, and industry best practices.

    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
