Pay: £15 - £17 per hour (depending on experience)Hours: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, days only, with occasional overnight stays and weekend work (paid at time and a half)Van & Tools Included.Hours: 37.5 hours per week About the Role:We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Site Services Technician to join our expanding power engineering company. This role is primarily field based, allowing you to travel directly from home to customer sites, with minimal office attendance (approximately four days per month when required).This position has two main aspects:1. After-sales service and maintenance - providing ongoing support for our transformers, switchgear, and associated equipment.2. Site installations and repairs - working on customer private networks, ensuring equipment is maintained and operating correctly.Key Responsibilities* Assembling distribution transformers and associated items such as LV/HV switchgear and ring main units on site installations* Fault finding and resolving aftercare services and warranty issues* Carrying out maintenance on supplied equipment and customer-owned HV and LV networks and assets* Conducting basic site testing to ensure compliance and safe operation* Providing breakdown support as needed* Taking transformer oil samples and arranging analysis* Working alongside other contractors on site* Completing site reports and identifying further recommendations* Ensuring method and risk assessments are completed and followedRequirements* HNC/HND or similar qualification in Electrical Engineering* Ability to work independently and as part of a small, busy team* Self-motivated, conscientious, and eager to learn* Strong IT and communication skills, with the ability to write emails, quotations, and reports* Flexible and adaptable with a positive attitudePreferred Experience* Previous AP/SAP status* Proficiency in MS Office (Excel & Word)* Experience using ERP systems like Emax to produce reports and quotationsThis is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established company that supplies new and refurbished power, distribution, and cast resin transformers, HV and LV switchgear, motors, and full turnkey packages.
