Finance Manager / Temp to Perm / Derbyshire
Are you an experienced finance professional looking for a new challenge? We have an exciting opportunity to lead a small and friendly finance team in a well-established, family-run business based in Heanor, Derbyshire. This role is being offered on a temp-to-perm basis, providing a great opportunity to transition into a permanent position.

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Overseeing the finance function, leading a small finance team
- Managing month-end processes, including management accounts, accruals, prepayments, and journals
- Overseeing payroll (20 employees) and covering payroll duties when required
- Supporting HR-related tasks (minimal – external HR support provided)
- Ensuring financial processes run smoothly while identifying opportunities for improvement
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience in a similar finance role (month-end, journals, accruals, etc.)
- Experience managing or overseeing payroll processes
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a small team
- A proactive mindset with the ability to adapt and improve processes
