Role Overview:
Due to ongoing expansion, we are looking for a Development Engineer / Technologist / Senior Development Technologist to join our growing team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on high-end material development, with a focus on high-end applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Materials Development: 70% of the role will be spent in a lab environment, developing and formulating materials for composite applications.
  • Pre-Preg Formulation: Work on the formulation of pre-pregs and composite materials, ensuring high-performance standards for specialized applications.
  • Composite Development: Collaborate with teams to advance composite material technologies for use in aerospace and other high-end industries.
  • Office Work: 30% of the role will involve office work, including report writing, documentation, and project tracking.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams and liaise with clients, including major aerospace players like Airbus.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience: At least 2-3 years of experience in composite development, pre-preg formulation, or materials science, ideally within high-performance or aerospace applications.
  • Education: A degree in Materials Science, Engineering, or a related field, or significant equivalent experience.
  • Skills: A strong understanding of composite materials, pre-preg formulation, and experience with composite development for high-end applications (e.g., radomes, aerospace).
  • Desirable: A background in formulation or specific knowledge of composites used in aerospace or similar industries is highly advantageous.

Work Environment & Schedule:

  • Initially, the role will require you to be on-site 5 days per week. As the role evolves, there will be flexibility to work from home part-time.
  • Working hours are from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with flexibility on start and finish times (you can start between 7-9 AM and finish accordingly).
  • Expect a mix of hands-on lab work and office-based tasks, with a focus on developing and improving materials.
