Job description

Transport Manager

WB Power Services is a leading generator specialist that provides solutions, maintenance, sales and hire to customers across the UK. Reporting into the Head of Transport, were looking for an experienced, motivated, and passionate Transport Manager to join our leadership team based at one of our regional depots currently located in Heanor, Derbyshire.

You will have responsibility for our western fleet of vehicles ensuring total compliance to all driver rules and regulations. You will conduct regular audits, provide infringement feedback with opportunities to learn, provide KPIs on vehicle compliance, maintain and create relationships with local suppliers for fleet maintenance, monitor and intervene in driver compliance and ensure operators licence is fully maintained and accurate.

To be successful for this role, you will be comfortable at getting your sleeves rolled up and getting stuck in this is a critical role to the business ensuring the depot and staff in which you are based and the vehicles you are responsible for are compliant without exception.

Who are we looking for:

Transport Manager CPC Qualification

At least 5 years experience in a fast-moving company with responsibility for a sizeable fleet

Experience and knowledge of logistical planning

At least 5 years experience of interpreting and applying compliance legislation
