Goodman Masson are currently working with a social housing organisation in Sussex to recruit for an interim Stock Condition Surveyor.

Pay Rate: £35 per hour Umbrella

Department: Asset ManagementReports To: Senior Surveyor

Purpose:To conduct property surveys, maintain accurate asset data, and support asset management planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform condition surveys on properties, including occupied, vacant, commercial spaces, garages, and communal areas.
  • Accurately record survey data using handheld devices in a timely manner.
  • Deliver the survey program within agreed targets and deadlines, reporting progress regularly.
  • Identify hazards in line with the Housing Act 2004 and HHSRS standards (e.g., damp, structural issues).
  • Oversee remedial works, inspect post-completion, and update stock data.
  • Support the design and execution of asset surveys and carry out energy rating assessments.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and ensure high-quality service delivery.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • HNC/HND in Building Surveying, Construction, or related fields.
  • Domestic Energy Assessor qualification (preferred).
  • Proven experience conducting stock condition surveys, including HHSRS.
  • Knowledge of housing standards, health and safety regulations, and construction legislation.
  • Strong IT, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Must hold a valid UK driving license and have access to a vehicle.
