We are looking for an mechanical engineer to join a market leading manufacturing company within their respective field. You will be involved in all aspects of machine building. With progressive training and development this company is always looking to enhance its employees and their skill sets, whilst additionally being supported by a welcoming team of engineers. The position will appeal to a strong mechanical fitter looking for their next challenging role within in a secure and stable company.

Role Description

  • Carry out routine / preventative and reactive maintenance on all mechanical aspects of the plant in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Respond to plant breakdowns as required.
  • Carry out routine inspections and maintenance associated with the plant preventative maintenance system (FSI).
  • Ensure all work is carried out to a high standard.
  • Ensure all H&S procedures, including permit to work, are adhered to.
  • Assist in the preparation / implementation of RAMS, necessary to carry out each task.
  • Report any H&S issues/accidents/near misses to line manager.
  • Attend training as required to maintain personal qualifications/competence.

Skills and Qualifications

  • NVQ LV3 or above - In Engineering
  • Good Knowledge on assembly fitting
  • Work from your own initiative
