White Ribbon UK seeks an inspirational strategic leader to join us as our new Chief Executive Officer as we work to prevent men’s violence against women and girls. 

We are the leading organisation engaging men and boys and organisations to prevent gender-based violence. We have achieved considerable success in raising the importance of Primary Prevention with decision makers, organisations and the general public through our campaigns, advocacy and work with organisations. 
 
We engage with organisations from all sectors including business, transport, sports, venues, and education providers, as well as decision makers, specialists, and individuals. The organisations and individuals that support our work are committed to creating positive culture change and preventing violence. 
 
We’ve built a strong reputation for delivering impactful programmes and campaigns. We need to build our capacity so that we can meet our ambition to grow and take advantage of opportunities. 
 
Our new CEO will be an agile leader, who values the culture we’ve created—collaborative, adaptable, and committed to positive change, with the ability to be hands on where needed. We’re ready to grow, innovate, and continue our mission of preventing men’s violence against women and girls. 

Key details:
Role: Chief Executive Officer (CEO) – White Ribbon UK
Location: Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire / hybrid (2 or more days per week on average on site)
Salary: £50,000 to £60,000
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent

As the successful candidate, you will demonstrate:

  • Leadership & Strategic Vision: Proven leadership able to deliver strategic plans.
  • Operational Management: Managing daily operations and a small team.
  • Financial Management: Strong financial acumen and an ability to evaluate, assess and manage risk.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: High level of experience representing an organisation and building relationships.
  • Representation and Influencing: Successful engagement in advocacy, public and media relations
  • Growth and Development: Driving growth, expanding networks, and influencing public policy.
  • Governance: Experience of working with a Board of Trustees and ensuring effective governance.
  • Personal Attributes: Commitment to WRUK’s mission, interpersonal and communications skills and commitment to Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion (DEI).
