You’ll deliver Astute Class ship control training to current and next generation of Submarine professionals.Day to day, you’ll provide subject matter expertise and input into the analysis and solution development for technical change to the existing product and to provide advice in support to Marine Training’s projects.Duties and responsibilities:

  • Deliver Contextualised Academic Lessons, both theory and practical for all of the above subjects.
  • Marking of Exams and Course Work as required.
  • Invigilation of exams.
  • Course Preparation, including the development of blended learning materials/interactive online content.
  • Apply Subject Matter Knowledge and Guidance to develop teaching material and support the course design process.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Comprehensive knowledge and recent experience of operating Astute class Ship Control systems, as a qualified Ship Control Officer of the Watch.
  • Experience of Submarine Control Room management.
  • Qualification as an Operations or Weapons Engineering Warrant Officer/Senior Rating.
  • You will need to satisfy security requirements. This may require you to hold or be eligible/capable of achieving ‘Security Check’ (SC) clearance.
