Generator Service Enginner

We are looking for experienced Generator Service Engineers based out of our clients Hemel and Braintree depots. The role will be responsible providing onsite customer support to our range of generator machinery within the region, with a primary focus on keeping the machinery in peak operating condition through scheduled maintenance, repairs, and inspections. Ability to provide support to repair and maintenance of Plant and Construction would also be useful but not essential.

  • Both Workshop and Onsite customer support to our range of Generators within the region
  • Investigate, diagnose and resolve customer reports of technical problems with equipment
  • Repair and service of generators and associated equipment
  • Complete paperwork and timesheets in a timely manner
  • Have the ability to work independently to troubleshoot and solve problems
  • Good customer service skills
  • Minimum of 5 years experience servicing Industrial diesel generators in a field based role
  • Excellent working knowledge of engines, alternators, control panels and wiring diagrams
  • Excellent verbal, written and critical thinking skills
  • IT Proficient
  • Interpersonal relationships/ Customer awareness/ Commercial awareness
  • Efficient and flexible with the ability to work without supervision
  • Additional beneficial qualifications could include PASMA, CSCS card and Powered Access, 18th Edition plus the ability to service the range of machines would also be useful
