SALARY - 30,000 to 35,000 per annum (plus benefits)
Premier Engineering is working with a leading engineering company based in Hemel Hempstead who are looking to hire a Mechanical Technician to support their growing team.
The Mechanical Technician will ideally have the following attributes:
- Previous experience in a mechanical technician or fitter role
- Hands-on experience with mechanical assembly, maintenance, or repairs
- Good understanding of mechanical systems, tools, and equipment
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- A relevant engineering qualification (Apprenticeship, NVQ, HND, etc.) is desirable
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills and a proactive approach
- Assembling, installing, and maintaining mechanical systems and equipment
- Working from technical drawings and specifications
- Performing inspections and fault diagnosis on machinery
- Carrying out repairs and modifications where needed
- Supporting engineers and project teams with mechanical builds
- Ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards
- Maintaining accurate records of work completed
