  • Reports to: HR Manager
  • 25 hours per week, working flexibly across 5 days per week
  • Hybrid working 3/2 post training (5 days on site whilst training - circa 2 /3 weeks)
  • £14.50ph on a FTC, on company's payroll

As a result of growth, our client is looking to strengthen their small team of two and appoint a part-time (25 hours per week) HR Assistant.As an HR Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the HR team across all aspects of human resources. You’ll help ensure smooth HR operations, assist employees, and contribute to the success of the people strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

HR Support:

  • Prepare and send HR-related letters
  • Maintain and update internal databases and records
  • Support new starter and leaver processes
  • Assist with HR audits and arrange inductions

Systems & Admin:

  • Manage training certificates and HR data
  • Update employee records, including holidays, starters, and leavers

Performance & Reviews:

  • Schedule and track probation reviews
  • Ensure completion of performance review documentation

Recruitment & Onboarding:

  • Conduct pre-employment checks and reference collection
  • Send welcome emails and prepare new starter documents

Absence & Benefits Management:

  • Maintain absence records and documentation
  • Manage employee benefits platforms

Training & Development:

  • Maintain and track the Company Training Matrix
  • Organise and schedule training courses
  • Track learning agreements and training costs

What We’re Looking For

  • HR Administration/Assistant experience
  • Strong attention to detail & organisational skills
  • Confident communicator with great interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Proactive problem solver
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • CIPD certification (or working towards it) - desirable
