Join the team at Quest Employment, recruiting for an exciting HR Manager role with a luxury 4* hotel located in the St Albans area. This award-winning hotel is committed to continuous improvement and is striving to achieve a 5* status in the near future. Offering a competitive salary of £50,000 and a friendly, supportive work environment, this is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate HR professional. This is a fully office-based role, working 5 days a week.

Your Role:

  • Support all aspects of the Human Resources function within the hotel.
  • Manage the employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to performance management and exit interviews.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance employee engagement and company culture, aligning with the hotel's vision and values.
  • Provide guidance and support to management teams on employment law and best HR practices.
  • Identify and support training and development opportunities to nurture employee growth.
  • Build relationships with local colleges, universities, and the wider community.
  • Align the HR function with business goals, driving forward initiatives for continuous improvement.
  • Manage succession planning by assessing recruitment and development needs and implementing retention strategies.
  • Promote a fair, inclusive, and safe workplace, championing initiatives that motivate and engage employees.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Preferably a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or CIPD Level 5 qualification.
  • Minimum of 10 years of HR experience, with management-level experience.
  • Hospitality experience is essential.
  • In-depth knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
  • Strong planning, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
