Procurement Manager

My client is seeking a Procurement Manager to join a contractor that was established in 1973 and based in Hemel Hempstead. It specialises in the full design and installation of mechanical services, as well as servicing and maintenance, both under contract and on a call-out basis. Typical installations include pipework for water and gas, supply and fitting of sanitaryware, air conditioning, and heating via air handling units or air conditioning units. Operating across multiple sectors, it primarily undertakes projects within the leisure and entertainment industry.

The role of the Procurement Manager is managing the financials and costing of Plumbing and heating projects. Responsibilities include taking off pipework materials from drawings and discussions with site staff, placing orders with suppliers, and maintaining daily communication with the site installation team to assist with material procurement. The role also involves coordinating and booking deliveries to site, producing and submitting RAMS using company templates with site-specific details, and preparing O&M documentation. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for managing the small office store of materials and spares. The Procurement manager must have the ability to read technical drawings is essential.

• Previous experience within he plumbing and heating industry as procurement manager or similar job.
• Live local to Hemel - Office based Monday
• The candidate must be computer literate in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook etc as well as Adobe for PDF purposes

• 45-50K
• 45 Hour week
