An excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join a rapidly expanding commercial construction company holding an autonomous role with great progression opportunities.


Are you a Quantity Surveyor with experience in Commercial or Residential projects? Do you want to join a company that will support you in your career development to Senior QS and beyond?

This multi-disciplinary chartered construction company have had massive success in the industry, doubling their turnover year on year. They cover refurbishment, maintenance and construction projects for public and private sector clients. The business has a dynamic and inclusive culture that encourages support, training, and development across all areas. Due to their growing order book, they are looking to bring a Quantity Surveyor into the business to help support the next phase of growth.

In this role, you will be responsible for estimating a range of commercial and residential projects consisting of refurbishment, maintenance and new build works. You will work in a small commercial team tasked with supporting all commercial activities, with some site travel & hybrid working available once trained.

The ideal candidate will have a Quantity Surveying background who has previously worked on Commercial or Residential projects, you will have a can-do attitude and a desire to pick up new skills to support the project delivery.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join a rapidly expanding company with an increasing workload, opportunities for new challenges, and career progression alongside a great salary and package.

The Role:

  • Provide contractual advice to the business and project team
  • Cost planning, budget estimating, and monitoring actual costs against budget
  • Effectively communicate with PM, Site based teams, and clients to ensure projects are delivered to requirements
  • Assist other departments as and when required
  • Office based in Hemel Hempstead, with travel to site & work from home available after 3 months

The Person:

  • Quantity Surveyor with experience in Commercial or Residential
  • Self-motivated and looking to progress your career
  • Full UK Driving License
  • Commutable distance from Hemel Hempstead
