Our experienced team works closely with families and specialists to provide tailored care. The school features sensory rooms for managing overload, speech and language therapy rooms with advanced tech, and therapeutic spaces for occupational and physiotherapy. Outdoor learning zones foster physical activity and social interaction, while classrooms are equipped with interactive whiteboards and assistive technology. Quiet areas offer students a retreat when needed, and our team of SEN teachers, therapists, and behaviour specialists ensures comprehensive care. About the role:
- Provide tailored support for students with SEN needs, ensuring they access a positive and engaging learning environment.
- Plan and deliver lessons that are differentiated to meet the diverse learning needs of each child.
- Create a safe, structured classroom environment that supports emotional and behavioural regulation.
- Adapt teaching strategies to suit individual student needs, maintaining high expectations of progress and engagement.
- Foster strong, positive relationships with students to build trust and encourage positive behaviours.
- Work closely with other staff members and external specialists to provide holistic support to students.
The ideal candidate must:
- Have the right to work within the UK
- Previous experience working in a classroom setting is essential
- DBS registered on the update system or willing to obtain one
- Comfortable and flexible in diverse learning environments.
- Previous experience working in a classroom setting, ideally with students who have SEN needs, including behavioural needs.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a classroom effectively.
- QTS, PGCE, or an overseas teaching qualification equivalent to UK
- Marking and lesson planning are vital to this role
