Yolk Recruitment is actively working with a renowned company based in South Wales to find a highly skilled Shift Mechanical Supervisor .

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic team and make a significant impact on their Engineering function. As the Mechanical Shift Leader, you will report directly to the Engineering Manager leading the maintenance activities on shift.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and lead a team of maintenance technicians in carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment.
  • Perform troubleshooting and diagnosis of mechanical issues to ensure optimal performance of equipment.
  • Develop and implement maintenance strategies to maximise equipment uptime and minimise downtime.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.
  • Manage maintenance inventory and ensure adequate stock levels of spare parts and equipment.

Key Skills:

  • Experience in an Engineering supervisor or leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Previous experience of CMMS systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A minimum of a Level 3 in mechanical Engineering
