Really wonderful, superb, INSURANCE & FCA knowledge opportunity within the Company we are supporting with an existing business broking team. The clients are a diverse mixture of large corporate clients encompassing the waste industry, bioscience, care homes and familiar names together with a range of smaller, property owners, shops and charitable organisations. The team receives enquiries via the company website, personal visitors, existing policyholders by email and by telephone which they respond to; providing advice & assistance as required in a time efficient manner. There will be a number of clients you will handle exclusively & work in conjunction with an Account Executive on the larger corporate clients.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

• Respond to a variety of enquiries from existing policyholders.• Provide advice & assistance in respect of current policy covers mid-term adjustments & renewals.• Review renewals, obtaining quotations, using quotation systems, rating guides or by referring to insurers.• Communicate quotations, advising the most appropriate in terms of price and cover to meet the clients’ requirements.• Discuss any additional exposures and covers to ensure that all insurance requirements are satisfied.• Ensure that system records are created and that the required documentation is issued to clients &  insurers.

DESIREABLE QUALITIES, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE (in no particular order)

• AN INSURANCE INDUSTRY BROKING BACKGROUND IS ESSENTIAL WITH A NUMBER OF 5 YEARS SKILLS • An awareness & understanding of FCA rules and how to comply with them is essential.PLUS, A strong customer service focus.• A confident telephone manner.• Strong communication skills, both written & oral with ability to listen engage with people.• Good numeracy & analytical skills.• Robust administration skills & the ability to work accurately & consistently.• Willingness to challenge assumptions & the ability to think “outside the box”.• An ability to work as part of a team and the ability to use your own initiative & manage your own workload.• Preferably qualified to a minimum of Cert CII.• Motivated to study for Industry exams.
