ITS Industrial are recruiting on behalf of our client in Herefordfor a CNC Machine Operator to join a highly successful and rapidly expanding organisation on a temp to perm basis, leading to full time permanent for the right candidate.

The Machine Operator will be fabricating parts to drawings/specification as required to manufacture the company's products and be able to change programmes on the machine for the next task.

Machinist Main Duties:

  • Work within the Company's Safety and Quality Policies.
  • Machine components to company drawings ensure working to the latest issue number.
  • Inspect goods ensuring that the parts have been supplied to the latest issue - any discrepancy will bring to manager's attention immediatley.
  • Ensure working area is kept clean and tidy, a clean workspace is essential for a safe and efficient workshop.
  • Ensure use the right cutting tool for the job, any requirements for new / replacement tools bring to manager's attention.
  • All tools will be sorted safely and correctly.
  • Any inspection equipment or gauges will be handled and stored carefully ensuring that they are properly calibrated.
  • If there is any doubt about a piece of equipment's accuracy, bring to manager's attention.
  • Ensure the machine tool working on in is kept in a safe, cleaned, and maintained condition.
  • Any fault ensure to arrange to get repaired as soon as possible.
  • Store raw material, work in progress, and finished items in a safe and tidy condition.
  • Work within the company's operating procedure ensuring that quality standards are maintained.

Machinist required skills and experience:

  • Previous and demonstate experience operating machines.
  • Hard-working and self-motivated, punctual.
  • Able to work as part of a team.
  • Good IT skills.

Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm, no weekends. Overtime is available and paid at a time and a half. Early finish on a Friday, 1pm. Weekly pay.

The salary for this role will be 23k per annum.
