Our client is recruiting for an electrically bias Multi-Skilled Engineer for their site in Hereford. The successful candidate will be instrumental in maintaining, repairing, and improving equipment, systems, and facilities. This role is ideal for someone with expertise in multiple engineering disciplines but ideally someone electrically qualified.
Day-to-Day of the Role:- Maintenance & Repair:
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on machinery, equipment, and systems.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and control system faults.
- Respond to emergency breakdowns and minimize downtime through efficient repairs.
- Installation & Commissioning:
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and systems, ensuring they meet operational and safety standards.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement engineering solutions to enhance efficiency and reliability.
- Participate in root cause analysis for recurring issues and develop long-term solutions.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and modifications.
- Prepare reports on equipment performance, downtime, and maintenance costs.
- Safety & Compliance:
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health and safety regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure that work practices adhere to safety protocols.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with production, operations, and other departments to minimize disruptions and optimize equipment performance.
- Provide technical support and guidance to other team members.
- 3+ years of industrial electrical experience.
- Proven experience in a multi-skilled engineering role within a manufacturing, industrial, or similar environment.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults.
- Ability and confidence in using a range of IT software, including regular use of Microsoft packages.
