Injection Moulding Technician

Our Rotherwas based client requires an experienced Injection Moulding Technician to join their busy team on a temporary to permanent basis.

• An opportunity to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment
• Hourly rate:  £13.51 working 2 shifts initially,  increasing to £13.81 on 3 shifts (including shift allowance)
• Rotating shift pattern 3 shift rotation of: 6am – 2pm, 10pm – 6am & 2pm – 10pm
• Hereford location with onsite parking

What you will be doing:

• Assisting the team with the development of new tooling and moulding programs
• Supervising staff to ensure the department operates efficiently
• Material handling, including material and colour changes, mixing, drying and granulating
• Start-up and shut-down the entire department
• Ensure all ancillary machinery is set up correctly
• Setting up and programming robots and sprue pickers
• Accurate recording and reporting of shift production metrics
• Quality control with good attention to detail
• Troubleshooting and fault correction through machine settings

What we are looking for:

• Good Understanding of the injection moulding process, qualifications preferred
• Experience using Engel injection moulding machines and robots
• Recognise process faults and component defects and understand what is required to rectify them
• Must be proactive in supporting other members of the team including training
• Willingness to learn and develop in the role as the department expands
