We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a Meter Reader role in the Hereford area with own transport being required. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing sector, with the potential for the role to transition into a permanent position after 15 weeks. As a Meter Reader, you will be responsible for visiting residential properties within a defined local area to record meter readings. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently while providing excellent service to residents.

Key Responsibilities:

- Use your own vehicle (with business insurance) to travel to designated locations within your local area
- Follow a pre-planned route to visit marked properties.

- Knock on doors and inform residents you are collecting meter readings.

- Accurately record meter readings using a tablet or mobile phone.

- Once a property is completed, move on to the next location and repeat the process.

- Travel to different areas as required by your assigned route.

Key Requirements:

Must own a reliable vehicle with business insurance.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.

Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively.

Good communication skills and a friendly, professional attitude when dealing with residents.

Flexibility to travel between various locations as needed.

A DBS check will be required for this role.

Whats on offer:
12.60 per hour with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent position after 15 weeks.

Mileage reimbursement at 30.5p per mile.

Full-time role (37.5 hours per week).

Temporary contract with the potential for long-term employment with our client.
