Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of support workers to ensure the highest standard of care.
- Build trusting relationships with young people, supporting their emotional, social, and personal development.
- Implement care plans, risk assessments, and behavioural strategies.
- Work closely with multi-agency teams, including social workers, healthcare professionals, and educators.
- Assist young people in developing independent living skills, education, and career aspirations.
- Respond to safeguarding concerns and ensure a safe and nurturing environment.
- Manage shift planning, team supervision, and report writing.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children and young people in a residential or similar setting.
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or working towards completion by September).
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and trauma-informed care.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts.
